Biography
Dwayne Johnson is descendant from Samoan, Irish, and Black Nova Scotian tribes. Hayward was the place where he was born on May 2nd, 1972. Curtis Bowles is his brother and Wanda Bowles is his sister. California was the place of his birth and upbringing. His father, Rocky Johnson, a former professional wrestler, and his mother, Ata Johnson, were his parents. Curtis and Wanda Bowles, his older brother and sister, were born as the result of his father’s first marriage.
His father’s wrestling career caused the family to move around frequently. Dwayne resided in Auckland with his maternal family and attended Richmond Road Primary School in Grey Lynn. President William McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii was his school of choice for his 10th grade.

Career
In 1996, Dwayne Johnson became Rocky Maivia in WWF and won the World Heavyweight Championship from Hunter Hearst Helmsley on Monday Night Raw the following year. Eventually, he changed his ring name to ‘The Rock’ and became a successful professional wrestler with several titles under his belt. His wrestling prowess combined with his rugged good-looks made him very popular among the female fans and soon he started receiving offers to appear on the small and the big screen.
In 2000, he became the host of ‘Saturday Night Live’ after appearing in a music video. In 2001, he made his debut in a movie as The Scorpion King in the opening sequence of ‘The Mummy Returns’.
