Early Life
December 24, 1971 was the day that Ricky Martin was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he was originally known as Enrique Martn Morales. Growing up, he was surrounded by music and creativity in his Catholic family. The couple who brought up Ricky are Nereida Morales, an accountant, and Enrique Martn Negroni, a psychologist. Although his parents broke up when he was young, both played a significant part in shaping his values and supporting his early career.
While he was young, he kept moving between his father’s house and his grandmother’s house.
