Ann Edwards, a model and writer, is the parent of Kelly Rutherford, who was born on November 6, 1968. Anthony, Courtney, and Lindsey Edwards are among the three siblings whom she has.

Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach was the school she attended. By then, she had already developed a passion for acting, and after high school, she moved to New York to pursue a degree at HB Studio. In the later part of her life, she returned to LA to attend the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

As Christine Hamilton, she played a role in the horror movie Scream 3 (2000). During 2003 and 2004, she played the role of Special Agent Frankie Ellroy Kilmer in the ABC drama Threat Matrix.
