Early Life
May 3, 1977 saw the birth of Kenneth Eric Church in Granite Falls, North Carolina, USA, to his parents, Ken and Rita Church. Church provided assistance to his father who was employed at a fabric company. At 13, he was given a guitar by the church and started playing his songs on it. Church, along with his college roommate, brother, and another friend who played guitar, formed the band Mountain Boys.
Eric Church obtained a marketing degree after completing his studies at South Caldwell High School and Appalachian State University. To pursue his songwriting career, Church relocated to Nashville and received financial assistance from his father.

Career
In 2005, Church made his debut in the professional country music industry by co-writing Terri Clark’s single ‘The World Needs a Drink’ and Dean Miller’s track ‘Whiskey Wings’. In 2006, he released his debut album, ‘Sinners Like Me,’ after signing with Capitol Nashville. The title track, “How ‘Bout You,” “Two Pink Lines,” “Guys Like Me,” and the singles ‘How ‘Bout You,” and “Two Pink Lines” served as a support for the album. Church toured with Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts after the album was a hit.
In early 2009, he released his second album, “Carolina,” which featured his first top-ten hits on the Hot Country Songs chart: “Love Your Love the Most” and “Hell on the Heart.” Church became the first artist to reach number one on both the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums charts with his third album, ‘Chief,’ in 2011. In addition, the album resulted in his initial hits that reached the top spot on the Hot Country Songs chart: ‘Drink in My Hand’ and ‘Springsteen.’ ‘Chief’ was recognized as Album of the Year at both the CMA and ACM Awards. Church and Jason Aldean worked together on the song ‘The Only Way I Know’ from Aldean’s album ‘Night Train’ after that success.
Chief was chosen by the Grammy Awards for Best Country Album in 2012. His song called ‘Drink in My Hand’ also made it to the top spot. The release of the song ‘The Springsteen’ in 2012 was a love affair between two individuals. The Billboard Hot 100 reached #1 and #20 on this single, making it a hit. The song ‘The Only Way I Know’ was sung by Church. Church announced that his first live album will be released in 2013 and will feature performances from Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2012. The church came up with the title of ‘Caught in the Act’.
Church’s sixth album, ‘Desperate Man,’ was released in 2018 and peaked at the top of the Top Country Albums chart. In April 2021, he released his third album, ‘Heart & Soul’, a triple-album set that was released in segments. ‘Stick That in Your Country Song’ and ‘Hell of a View’ were followed by this one. Church took part in the Gather Again Tour to promote the album from 2021 to 2022. The Outsiders Revival Tour was followed by him in 2023.
