Early Life & Education
Charlie Dimmock’s father, Terry Dimmock and Sue Kennedy, were the parents of Charlotte Elouise Dimmock, born August 10, 1966, in Southampton, Hampshire, England. Her childhood was spent in New Forest, where she assisted her grandfather in his family vegetable garden.
Wellow Primary School was her first stop before attending The Mountbatten School in Romsey, Hampshire. Despite her initial desire to specialize in forensic science, Dimmock attended a horticultural college where she graduated.
Following her college graduation, Dimmock began working at Romsey Garden Centre. In the early 1990s, she traveled extensively before returning to Romsey. Returning to work at ‘Romsey Garden Centre’, she met television producer John Thornicroft, who was in search of aquatic plants.
