Biography

On October 13, 1968, Tisha Campbell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but later moved to Newark, New Jersey. Hattie ‘Mona’ Washington, her mother, was an expert in nursing, talent management, gospel singing, and vocal coaching. Clifton Campbell’s father was a factory worker, singer, and chess master who worked with children who were not well-off. Campbell has a brother who is older and two sisters who are younger. Tiara Campbell and Jermaine Campbell are two siblings whom she has. Ellen Lindsey and Duane are the names of two step siblings who she has.

Her education included Newark Arts High School and Washington Academy of Music in East Orange, New Jersey.
