Biography

Saweetie was born in Santa Clara, California, United States on July 2, 1993. Trinidad Valentin, born of Filipina and Chinese heritage, and Johnny Harper, born of African-American descent, are her parents. Maya and Milan are twin sisters who are two years younger than her.

Sacramento, California was Saweetie’s hometown, and she attended Merrill F. West High School in Tracy. In Elk Grove, she graduated from Monterey Trail High School. She began writing her music when she was 13. After her high school education, Saweetie furthered her studies by enrolling at San Diego State University, where she studied communications and business before transferring to the University of Southern California, where she completed her degree and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communications. After completing her studies at university, Saweetie shifted her attention entirely to her musical career.

Personal Life

Saweetie commenced a romantic relationship with rapper Quavo from the defunct Migos band in mid-September 2018. Their first sighting was at the New York Fashion Week. In March 2021, Saweetie announced on her social media account that she was no longer dating Quavo.
