Early Life & Education
On July 18, 1982, Priyanka Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, and her professional name is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Her father and mother are Captain Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Akhauri. The family had to live in several cities across India due to her father’s service as a physician in the Indian Army. She has a sibling named Siddharth Chopra.
Chopra was educated at La Martiniere Girls’ School in Lucknow and St. Maria Goretti College in Bareilly during her childhood. Nonetheless, she relocated to the United States to pursue her studies. After attending schools in Newton, Massachusetts and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she completed her senior year at Bareilly Army Public School.
