Catherine Elizabeth Deeley was born on October 23, 1976, in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England, to Howard Deeley, a businessman, and Janet Deeley, who was a homemaker. Raised in the nearby towns of Sutton Coldfield and Great Barr, Birmingham, she spent her childhood with her younger brother, Max Deeley.

Cat attended Grove Vale Junior School and then Dartmouth High School, where she later obtained a diploma in performing arts from Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School. The scout from Storm Models spotted her at 16, and she then entered the modeling field before transitioning to television.

In 1994, Cat Deeley started her career as a model, taking on campaigns for brands such as Marks & Spencer, concurrently pursuing her studies in performing arts.
