Sara Sampaio was born on July 21, 1991, in Porto, Portugal, to her parents, Armando Sampaio, a scuba diving professional, and Cristina Sampaio, who operates an import company. From her childhood on the Porto outskirts with her brother André, she gained a love for the ocean and nature.
She studied locally in Porto, where her academic performance was outstanding and she took theater classes, which ignited her early fascination with acting. Though her enthusiasm for performing was strong, her parents advised her to opt for a pragmatic degree, which led her to enroll at the University of Lisbon. With a part-time study schedule, she embarked on her modeling career, striking a balance between her education and the pursuit of early professional opportunities.
