Early life
Mishti was born into a Bengali Brahmin family in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on December 21, 1996. Beena Chakraborty’s mother is a homemaker and her father works in construction. She has one brother named Unkonwn.
Her degree in English literature was obtained from the University of Calcutta. After 2014, Mishti became her professional name.
Career
She made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s film Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, and her Telugu film debut with the Nithiin-A. Her Malayalam film debut was with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jinu Abraham’s Adam Joan, which was a Karunakaran film.
Mishti’s upcoming Telugu movie, Columbus, features Sumanth Ashwin and was produced by MS Raju. Her return to Bollywood was marked by her participation in Indra Kumar’s Great Grand Masti, the third film in the Masti series. She made an appearance in Srijit Mukherji’s historical film Begum Japan in 2017 with Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya Balan. The film was set in a brothel and she played Shabnam in it.
Wide recognition was given to her performance as Kashibai in the highly publicized historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019). She has performed in Malayalam films Adam Joan (2017) and Server Sundar Susat (2018) as well. O Saathiya (2023) is a Telugu film that she has recently worked on.
