Born on November 10, 1983 in Longview, Texas, United States, Miranda Leigh Lambert is a United States citizen. Her parents, Rick Lambert and Bev Lambert, raised her. Her younger brother, Luke Lambert, was part of her growing up experience.

During her time at Lindale High School in Lindale, Texas, Miranda graduated in 2001. While she was still in high school, she made her professional singing debut with The Texas Pride Band. Attending a songwriting workshop in Nashville helped her refine her craft and prepare for her Nashville Star audition, which was the beginning of her professional journey.
