Biography

Maya Jama was brought up in Bristol, where she was born, and attended Cotham School. Her date of birth was on August 14, 1994. Swedish ancestry comes from her mother’s side while Somali ancestry comes from her father’s side. When she was 19, Maya Jama was named after American author and poet Maya Angelou by her mother, Sadie Jama.
