Josh Dun, who was born on June 18, 1988 in Columbus, Ohio, grew up in a family with a passion for music and a strong Christian faith. William Earl “Bill” Dun and Laura Lee Dun, both teachers, had a great deal of involvement with their church and community. Despite the limitations, Josh secretly explored other genres, particularly punk rock, which would lead to the shaping of his musical identity. Alongside his older brother, Jordan Dun, and two older sisters, Ashley and Abigail Dun, he was raised in a household that was focused on faith.
