Biography
Sarah Rozen and Paul Hechinger were Hechinger’s parents when he was born on December 2, 1999 in New York City. He spent his formative years on the Upper West Side and attended Saint Ann’s School, a school that had fellow actors Lucas Hedges and Maya Hawke among its students. Hechinger was a teenager who worked as a reporter at Upright Citizens Brigade.
Career
The coming-of-age dramedy film Eighth Grade saw Hechinger debut as Trevor in 2018. In the following year, he was cast as a co-star in Marc Meyers’ drama film Human Capital, which is based on Stephen Amidon’s 2004 novel of the exact title. The premiere was held at the Toronto International Film Festival before it was released through DirecTV Cinema on March 20, 2020.
Hechinger was a part of Paul Greengrass’ News of the World, a Western film directed by Tom Hanks, in 2020. The Woman in the Window, which was already filmed before the COVID-19 pandemic, was a psychological thriller that he starred in alongside Amy Adams in 2021.
