Alison Brie Schermerhorn’s birthplace is Hollywood, California, where she was born on December 29, 1982. Despite her mother’s work for a non-profit childcare agency, Charles Terry Schermerhorn, who is a musician and freelance entertainment reporter, is her father’s occupation. Alison’s unique perspective on life and creativity was derived from her parents’ varied career paths. She has a sister named Lauren Schermerhorn who is older than her. A couple of more movies – The Home Front and Raspberry Magic – in 2010 was followed by a role in the meta slasher horror film Scream 4 in 2011 wherein she played the role of an extremely ambitious personal assistant Rebecca Walters.
