Dua Lipa is an English singer-songwriter and model. London, England was the place where she was born to Kosovar and Albanian parents. Starting at the age of 14, she began posting renditions of well-known songs on YouTube, which launched her music career. In 2015, she became a member of Warner Music Group and her debut single, ‘New Love,’ was released. Dua Lipa’s debut album was released in 2017 and it was her first. The album was commercially successful after reaching number one in the UK and number six in the US. New Rules, Be the One, and IDGAF were the outcome of the hit singles. The album Future Nostalgia, which Lipa followed up with, was released in 2020. The album was both financially and critically successful, winning Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year.

Early Life & Education
Dukagjin Lipa and his wife Anesa Lipa were the parents of Dua Lipa, who was born on August 22, 1995 in London, England. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin.
In the 1990s, her parents, who were ethnic Albanians from Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, moved to Europe to escape violence and oppression. Even though she wasn’t pressured to become a singer, her father influenced her to become a singer. After having a negative experience in high school, she decided to attend Sylvia Young Theatre School part-time, where she was placed with older students by the teacher to enhance her confidence.
Personal Life
Since June 2019, she has been in a relationship with model Anwar Hadid. The couple ends their relationship in December 2021.

Career
At the age of 16, she began her career as a model after being approached by a manager, but due to her figure, she never got good assignments except for a television advertisement for ‘The X Factor’. Her goal was to connect with people who have a passion for music through modeling.
By aggressively promoting her YouTube channel to new acquaintances, she eventually signed a contract with Warner Music Group for her debut album in 2015. Emile Haynie and Andrew Wyatt produced her promotional debut single, New Love, which contained lyrics by her. It was released in August 2015. November 2015 saw the announcement that she would be included on the BBC ‘Sound of… 2016’ list. She started her first trip to the UK and Europe in January 2016, and it continued until November of that year.
On February 9, 2016, the second single off of her album, ‘Last Dance’, was released, but it did not chart in any country. On May 6th, the third single, ‘Hotter than Hell’, topped the charts in the United Kingdom and reached the top 20 in several other countries.
