Who is Jon Tenney?

Jonathan Frederick Tenney (born December 16, 1961) is a well-known American actor. He took on the role of Special Agent Fritz Howard in TNT’s The Closer and continued to portray him in its spin-off, Major Crimes. His fame was established by his roles in 1993’s ‘Watch It’ and ‘Tombstone’. Feke was his character on The Dirty Dozen’s television series in 1988. Tommy Ballantine was the role Jon Tenney played on Kristin, a television series that aired in 2001.

Biography

Jon Tenney was brought into the world in Princeton, New Jersey on December 16, 1961. Dr. Lillian Sandra Baum was his mother and Frederick Haworth Tenney was his father, both of whom were psychiatrists.

In 1984, Tenney obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College, with a focus on drama and philosophy. He refined his acting abilities by serving as a member of Group 19 at The Juilliard School’s Drama Division from 1986 to 1990.

Personal Life

From 1994 to 2003, he was engaged to actress Teri Hatcher, who is most well-known for her work on Desperate Housewives and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Emerson Rose Tenney (b. 1997) is the daughter of the couple, and she has occasionally been in the spotlight, resembling the creative lineage of her parents.

He married producer Leslie Urdang on June 16, 2012.

Career

Jon started his career with M. Nichols’ “The Real Thing” touring production, and worked off- and on-Broadway, as well as in regional theatres, appearing in many stage plays including “The Substance of Fire” and “Biloxi Blues. Jon made his official debut on the TV screen when he portrayed Garrett in the TV series “Spenser: For Hire” in 1986, after which he was assigned the starring role as Feke on the “Dirty Dozen” TV series in 1988. Between 1990 and 1991, Peter Bauer created the ‘Equal Justice’ TV series, and the actor was given a significant role in it two years later. In the ’90s, he achieved great success and was chosen to appear in both ‘Watch It’ and ‘Tombstone’ simultaneously.

Tenney’s role as Behan in “Tombstone” saw him rise to stardom, and he was then assigned the role of Levine in the “Beverly Hills Cops III” comedy film in 1994, before he appeared in “Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home” drama film.
