Wayne and Peggy Turner were Turner’s parents when she was born on August 7, 1951 in Iowa, United States. Gerry, who was the oldest of four siblings, was born in Ottumwa, Iowa and attended a local school where he excelled at basketball. After completing his high school education in 1970, Turner enrolled at Ottumwa Heights University. He then attended the University of Iowa and then enrolled at the Ernie Johnson Sales School in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Personal Life
Toni, Gerry Turner’s loving wife, was wed to him in 1974. In 1972, the former couple met their high school love and married two years later. Toni’s death in 2017 was caused by complications from a bacterial illness, a result of their 43 year marriage as high school sweethearts.
