George Lucas’ birth place is Modesto, California, USA and he was born there on May 14, 1944. George Walton Lucas was his father and Dorothy Bomberger was his mother. He has grown with her three siblings Wendy Lucas, Kathleen Lucas, and Ann Lucas.

Most of his school days were spent participating in racing competitions and underground circuits. His initial goal was to pursue a career in car racing, but he changed his mind after he was in a near-fatal car accident on June 12, 1962.

At ‘Modesto Junior College’, he pursued studies in anthropology, sociology, and literature, among other subjects. During his college years, he started to become interested in filmmaking. In 1967, he graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts with a degree in fine arts in film studies. Due to his speeding tickets, he was rejected from joining the United States Air Force.

He created a variety of short films while attending the Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, including ‘Look at Life,’ ‘Herbie,’ ‘Freiheit,’ ‘1:42.08,’ and ‘The Emperor.’ ‘Electronic Labyrinth: THX-1138 4EB’ was written and directed by him in 1967, and it won the first prize at the National Student Film Festival.

In the following year, he was involved in the creation and executive production of the TV series ‘Star Wars Holiday Special’.

He was responsible for producing and co-writing the comedy-drama film ‘More American Graffiti’ in 1979. He was the executive producer for ‘Kagemusha’ and ‘Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back’ the following year. The fantasy adventure movie ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ also known as ‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,’ was produced and co-written by him in 1981. During the same year, he also served as the executive producer for ‘Body Heat’, but his work was not acknowledged.

In addition, he was responsible for writing the other five Star Wars movies, numerous Star Wars shorts, and even some video games and cartoon episodes. He was in charge of the direction of the fourth and first three episodes of the Star Wars series.
