In 1975, Charlize Theron was born in Benoni, South Africa and was a resident of South Africa. She is both South African and American because both of her parents are Americans. Gerda Jacoba Aletta Maritz (mother) and Charles Jacobus Theron (father) were the only two people who raised her in South Africa.
