The Bronx, New York City is the place of birth where Maggie Siff was born on June 21, 1974. Despite her father being Russian Jewish, her mother comes from an Irish-Swedish Protestant family. In 1996, she graduated from Bryn Mawr College with an English major after attending The Bronx High School of Science. At New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, she completed an MFA in acting as well. Siff began working as a temporary employee at a hedge fund shortly after graduating from New York University.

Maggie Siff’s career in theater began before she ventured into films and TV. In 1998, she played a role in Henrik Ibsen’s ‘Ghosts’, and it was her most notable performance in theater. Siff played the role of ‘Cindy’ in an episode of the American crime-drama show ‘Third Watch’ (1999–2005) called ‘Obsession’ in 2004. The storyline revolved around the lives of police officers of the ‘New York Police Department’ and the firefighters and paramedics of the ‘New York City Fire Department,’ all working in the fictional precinct during the 3pm–11pm shift called the “Third Watch.”

Personal Life

Maggie Siff’s marriage to Paul Ratliff, a psychotherapist and former design strategist, took place in October 2012. Through a mutual friend, the couple arranged a meeting and exchanged emails before meeting in person. In 2013, a daughter named Lucy was born to them. Ratliff died tragically in a car accident in 2021, leaving Siff and Ratliff with a happy and loving marriage.
