On August 10, 1993, Andre Jamal Drummond became a citizen of Mount Vernon, New York. There is a lack of information about Andre Drummond’s parents. The only person listed is Christine Cameron, his mother. In addition, he has a sister named Ariana in his family.
His family moved to Middletown, Connecticut when he was seven. Drummond spent his youth years attending Woodrow Wilson Middle School and Capital Preparatory Magnet School, where he played basketball. Career
Woodrow Wilson Middle School marked the beginning of Andre Drummond’s basketball career. At Capital Preparatory Magnet School, he played and then at St. Thomas More, where he was a dominant center on the team. He played for the United States team that won the gold medal at the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship.
Drummond continued his education at the University of Connecticut. He participated in 34 games, averaging 28.4 minutes per game, grabbed 7.6 rebounds, and scored 10.0 points. The 2012 NBA draft was made available to him in April 2012. His selection was made by the Detroit Pistons. The NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team included him in the following year.
In January 24, 2014, the basketball player lost to the New Orleans Pelicans and had 20 rebounds, 20 points, and two blocks.
