Biography
Born to an English mother on April 3, 1985 in Islington, London, United Kingdom, Leona Lewis is now a British citizen. Her parents, Aural Josiah Lewis and Maria Lewis, were the ones who raised her. Leona’s siblings included her older half-brother, Bradley, and her younger brother, Kyle.
From a young age, Leona was enrolled at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and later attended the Italia Conti Academy and the BRIT School, where she learned to play various instruments.
Personal Life
In July 2019, Leona wed Dennis Jauch, her long-term partner, at a ceremony held in Italy’s Tuscan region. Their first child, Carmel, was born to the couple in July 2022. Leona is transparent about her commitment to veganism and animal rights, which are aligned with her personal and professional goals.

In 2006, Leona won ‘The X Factor’ and secured a £1 million recording contract with Syco Music, which marked a significant change in her career. Within 30 minutes, her cover of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘A Moment Like This’ managed to break records by achieving 50,000 digital downloads. Her international career was initiated by signing a five-album deal with J Records in the United States in 2007.
