On July 22nd, 1992, Grand Prairie, Texas welcomed Selena Gomez into the world. His father was Ricardo Joel Gomez and his mother was Amanda Dawn Cornett. Selena chose acting as her career after seeing Amanda’s stage performances, and soon she was attending try-outs. She made her first appearance on ‘Barney and Friends’ in 2002, when she was chosen to play a character named Gianna. During the auditions, she encountered fellow performer Demi Lovato, who was also chosen for the show in the same year.
