On July 22nd, 1992, Grand Prairie, Texas welcomed Selena Gomez into the world. His father was Ricardo Joel Gomez and his mother was Amanda Dawn Cornett. She had a mother who was a professional actress. His father and mother were from different backgrounds, with the father being of Mexican origin and the mother being adopted by individuals of Italian descent. Career
Selena chose acting as her career after seeing Amanda’s stage performances, and soon she was attending try-outs. She made her first appearance on ‘Barney and Friends’ in 2002, when she was chosen to play a character named Gianna. During the auditions, she encountered fellow performer Demi Lovato, who was also chosen for the show in the same year.
During the show, ‘Barney and Friends’ and after quitting it in 2004, Gomez made guest appearances in films like ‘Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire’ and ‘Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over’.
